Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Stops One New Tradition in its Tracks

Nintendo recently revealed that no DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released, upsetting fans who had hoped for extra material.

With its DLC packs, Breath of the Wild set a new standard for the franchise, and fans anticipated a similar approach for Tears of the Kingdom.

While the game is finished in its current form, some fans feel cheated because there are numerous mysteries and parts of the game that could have been explored in DLC packs.

The Nintendo Switch is nearing the end of its life cycle, and speculation regarding a replacement is heating up for later next year.

The game has been a major critical and financial success, with Game of the Year talk rife months before The Game Awards 2023.
