The Raiders sign a recently released Cardinals wide receiver.

On roster cut day, there were many eyes on the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver room because there were several guys on the roster bubble.

The organization has elected to maintain six wide receivers on the active roster while adding to the practice squad.

The Raiders have added former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Antoine Wesley to their practice squad, according to an August 30 tweet/X from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Wesley made his NFL debut in 2019 as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens.

He never played for the squad, but he found fresh life with the Cardinals in 2021. He appeared in 15 games, four of which he started.

Unfortunately for Wesley, a quadriceps strain prevented him from playing last season.

He showed some promise in 2021, so it wouldn't be surprising if he saw some action with the Raiders this season

However, the team's wide receiver room is deep, therefore Wesley's best chance of getting major playing time would be as a replacement for an injured player.
