The Broncos re-sign three players and place three more on injured reserve.

The Denver Broncos have finalized their 53-man roster, re-signing nose tackle Mike Purcell, cornerback Fabian Moreau,

and offensive tackle Quinn Bailey in a flurry of transactions, the organization announced Thursday.

Denver placed CB K'Waun Williams (ankle), OT Alex Palczewski (hand), and safety P.J. Locke (leg) on injured reserve in simultaneous actions,

Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) was not placed on injured reserve as promised. Neither was rookie cornerback Riley Moss (core muscle surgery), who will play in Week 1.

Purcell had a hectic week after agreeing to renegotiate his contract and being activated off the Non-Football Injury list — only to be released at final cuts with the intention of returning shortly.

He did, and he now appears to be the primary backup to NT DJ Jones."That's huge for us," said defensive coordinator Vance Joseph on Thursday.

"That defensive line has been our most consistent, deepest, and healthiest group throughout camp." "Adding Mike simply adds depth.

"In the absence of the aforementioned Moss, the Broncos signed Moreau, a seventh-year player on his fifth NFL team, on Aug. 1.
