NFL Fans Are Heartbroken By Legendary Rams Star's Death

Eddie Meador, a former defensive back for the Los Angeles Rams, passed away earlier this week, leaving the football world without a legend.

Meador, a Ram with six Pro Bowl appearances, was a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame All-1960s Team. After Meador passed away this week, the Rams released a statement.

The Los Angeles Rams released a statement in which they said, "We are profoundly saddened to learn of the passing of an NFL great, Eddie Meador,

who was a prominent leader for our organization and the Los Angeles community throughout his entire 12-year career."

He led some of the best defenses in NFL history and was an instinctive and fearless competitor. Eddie was the Rams' lifeblood because of his capacity to inspire teammates and his humility,

which made him relatable to everyone. Our thoughts are centered on the Meador family and friends, and his legacy will endure forever.

"A defense with players with names like Deacon Jones and Merlin Olsen, but Eddie Meador served as the holding force. That ought to tell you anything, said a different supporter.

"Rest in peace, Eddie Meador. Coming up a little short for the HOF in recent years, but the upswing in recognition of his outstanding career will soon get him into Canton," said a third.
