Jimmy Garoppolo Notes What Trey Lance Needs To Unlock His Potential

Trey Lance was traded from the San Francisco 49ers to the Dallas Cowboys in one of the most surprising offseason moves.

Lance has only played in the NFL for two seasons, and many say he has not been given a fair chance.

Jimmy Garoppolo recently addressed the subject, stating that Lance can still make it in this league.

"Dude's got talent," Garoppolo said via Pro Football Talk. "We just need to get him out there."

Garoppolo feels Lance will be fine if he gets playing time and another chance to thrive in the NFL.

Lance has only started four games in his career because to injuries and his position behind Garoppolo on the depth chart.

Lance might find himself as the Cowboys' QB2 now that he's on the team, with a chance to play if Dak Prescott is hurt.

Garoppolo is all too familiar with this circumstance, having stood behind Tom Brady in New England before receiving his chance in San Francisco.
