Jets' Aaron Rodgers finds Garrett Wilson for first preseason touchdown

In his only preseason appearance, Aaron Rodgers scored on the second series against the Giants on Saturday night for the New York Jets.

On third down, Giants cornerback Amani Oruwariye's pass interference penalty saved Rodgers and the Jets. Two plays later, Rodgers threw a 14-yard touchdown to Garrett Wilson.

The four-time NFL MVP was 5-of-8 for 47 yards in two series and looks ready to start the season.

Rodgers joined the Jets from Green Bay in the summer after 18 years. Rodgers and the Packers fell out and traded.

Rodgers delivered several accomplishments to New York. His Super Bowl ring is one of his 10 Pro Bowls and 4 All-Pros.

His career includes 59,055 passing yards and 475 touchdowns.

He also helped the Jets sign two former Packers in the summer. New York signed Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb as offseason wide receivers. Robert Saleh hired Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator.

The stars aligned for Rodgers' 2023 victory. It won't be easy, but his one preseason game showed he's ready to go.
