The Saints have not yet formally announced a deal with quarterback Derek Carr,
but Carr has verified reports that he is on his way to New Orleans,
and some information about the deal he will sign have also been revealed.
Carr has agreed to a four-year contract with the NFC South club, according to NFL Media.
The transaction is worth up to $150 million and includes a total guarantee of $100 million.
Carr received a $60 million signing bonus, with $10 million of his third-year salary vesting after his first year with the Saints.
The Saints have been restructuring contracts in order to stay under the salary cap and will most likely continue to do so, including removing quarterback Jameis Winston, while simultaneously adding Carr to the roster. 1
