FIBA World Cup 2023 schedule, result

The Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia will jointly share the hosting duties for the 2023 FIBA World Cup for men's basketball 

which will take place from August 25th to September 10th.

The format is similar to that of the World Cup in soccer, with 32 teams competing in eight different groups. 

The top two teams in each group will advance to the second phase, where there will be 16 teams divided into four groups, 

and their points will carry over. The quarterfinals consist of the two teams that finished in first and second place in each of those groups.

The top two teams from each of the Americas and Europe will advance to the Olympic Games in 2024 in Paris 

with the exception of France, which will participate in the games by virtue of its status as the host nation 

Additionally, the best team from each of the continents of Africa, Asia, and Oceania will qualify.
