Jaylon Smith, a former Dallas Cowboys linebacker, is a free agent once more.
The New Orleans Saints have released the 28-year-old veteran, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"The Saints are releasing veteran LB Jaylon Smith, according to a source, though he has a good chance to return to the practice squad," Rapoport reports. "He'll have other options, too."
The former second-round draft pick joined with the Saints earlier this month, just in time for the preseason. According to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.
