On Tuesday, NFL teams were required to finalize their opening rosters of 53 players.
What does the future hold for football clubs such as the Dallas Cowboys?
After the roster reduction deadline passed, head coach Mike McCarthy stated that the club still has some work to do before
it can fully focus on its season opener against the New York Giants. Putting together a practice squad with 16 players is one of the duties that are still outstanding.
Notable players released by Dallas include Jabril Cox and Quinton Bohana, both of whom were scheduled to be drafted in 2021.
It was decided to temporarily release offensive tackle Chuma Edoga, long snapper Trent Sieg,
and cornerback C.J. Goodwin; however, they will all be re-signed before the end of this week.
A select few players will be required to clear waivers before they can be added to NFL practice teams.
