Browns HC Kevin Stefanski Says Team Will Pursue New QB

The Cleveland Browns will look for a third quarterback before the start of the regular season. Which one, though, is the question?

Following the announcement of the original 53-man roster by the Browns on Tuesday, August 29, head coach Kevin Stefanski held a press conference.

On that list are starter quarterback Deshaun Watson and rookie backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Kellen Mond, a journeyman, was cut off the roster.

Joshua Dobbs was traded from that roster before cut-down day and is expected to start the season for the Arizona Cardinals.

Stefanski took the time under center to discuss the team's goals, though he didn't get specific about potential targets.

"We have something of a plan. "I believe we'll bring in another quarterback very soon," Stefanski stated.

"I think it'll be interesting around the league to see which teams keep three on the active [roster] and which teams keep some guys on [the] practice squad."

We'll see how things go." Dorian Thompson-Robinson of the Cleveland Browns.Any quarterbacks who were released on Tuesday will be available on the NFL waiver wire.
