Adele Doe the Beyonce ‘Everybody on Mute’ Challenge in Las Vegas
During her Las Vegas residency, Adele foolishly attempted to channel Beyonce.
During her Weekends With Adele event at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday (Aug. 26), the 35-year-old British vocalist attempted — and ultimately failed — Beyoncé's "everybody on mute" challenge.
For those who haven't heard, Beyonce has been pushing her Renaissance World Tour audiences to become entirely silent after she delivers the "Energy" line, "Look around, everybody on mute."
Adele felt it would be a good idea to try out the challenge during her own show, but it didn't go as planned.
The "Easy on Me" singer urges the crowd in a fan-captured video from her Vegas concert, "Everybody on mute," but several fans can still be heard talking around.
She then mentioned a recent Beyonce event when the audience did not applaud during the challenge.
"Atlanta horribly failed. "I saw a video of them this morning!" she exclaimed. "And everyone was like, 'wah!'"
