Aaron Rodgers Sends a Curious Message About the Jets' Future

Aaron Rodgers isn't ready to retire just yet.

Shortly after joining the New York Jets, the four-time NFL MVP intimated that this might be a multi-year alliance.

He took that possible long-term commitment to the next level on Saturday, September 9.

In an exclusive interview with Steve Serby of the New York Post, Rodgers was asked if he believes he can play until the age of 45, like Tom Brady did.

"If you had asked me five or six years ago, I would have said probably not."

But now, with the changes that have occurred and some of the improvements I've made off the field,

I absolutely see that as a possibility when before I just didn't think I'd want to, honestly."

"Is it safe to conclude that you would love to retire as a New York Jet?" Serby followed up.

"Oh definitely, yeah definitely," Rodgers replied. I'd like to play a few years here, but I'm not sure if that few is two, three, or... I mean, five would bring me to 45.

But I don't want to be a one-and-done in this industry."
